Add general notes#326

Would be good to have a place to add general notes in the migraine section. Just to add something like “room freshener to face” or “customer perfume “ or “puppy collided with face “ - things the little list doesn’t cover.

Thank you William for the suggestion.
For long notes, I usually use the big “notes” section of the migraine record.
Did you try using it?

And also, you may get better data by transforming “Puppy collided with face” into a more general “face shock” or “Face collision”.

I’ve tried using the notes section, but it’s set oddly on my phone and once done with the comment, it’s difficult and frustrating to get out. The note section covers the submit or end button, and I finally gave up fighting with it, and just don’t use it.

I realize less specificity in this case would be better for the migraine report, but for me, it would help to know (a year from now, for instance) what caused the head trauma.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me, twice. I truly appreciate it.

Thank you William!

  • I “note” that we need to make the note section work properly on your phone! many people love it. Could you send me a screenshot with your phone model at Jenny@healint.com ? We will get this working in no time!

  • For the puppy collision example I think I understand! But I may be wrong. So, let’s say that in one year, you can see if this attack was caused by the puppy collision, or by a car accident, or by a flue shot (just example). How would you ideally use it the data?
a- Would you do a search based on the cause, to find when this happened? or how often this happened?
b- Would you search in the records one by one, and see what happens a lot?
    c- Another case?
Knowing the ideal use case and the way to make useful will help me a lot in pushing for it! :)

Boy, is my face red. My only excuse is that in the grip of a migraine, clear thinking sometimes just doesn’t happen. All I had to do to exit the text box was tap the previous button on my phone. Yeah, simple.

As for the content. My migraine treatment is managed by an online group, and the doctor who personally sees to my care may change without notce. If the new doctor asks “What head trauma caused this migraine?” I’d rather not rely on memory. Granted, River jumpng up and slamming my glasses into my face is quite memorable, but would I connect it 2 years or more down the road when asked? And I’ve been asked about things further back than a couple years.

The short answer (too late!) is mostly as a memory aid, for record keeping purposes.

Thanks,
Pat

@William George There is no reason to be ashamed. During migraine our thinking and vision are blured. And it can be in various ways depending on the person. This is why I am asking those questions… we need to learn from your experience too, and progressively find ways to make things simpler or more obivious.
