Quality of sleep on sleep tracker#412

When you go to confirm sleep hours, there should be a place to log sleep quality. I might suggest check boxes for Restless, Bad Dreams, Deep and dreamless, etc (with option to add) but I suppose a rating system would work too. And maybe also the same for “wake up feeling” being rested, irritated, depressed, excited, etc.
Thanks so much for this great app, it has given me some insight into my migraines!

Good suggestion. Maybe a rating system, 1 thru 5, with 1 being Well-Rested, and 5 being Not Restful due to migraine, pain, or other factor. And fill in the other numbers.

I would like to add options for whether I used my BiPAP (CPAP) all/partial/none of the night as it has a major influence on the quality of my sleep.
This would be for my own information in helping to determine what my triggers are.

It would be helpful to connect a fitness tracker with the app. Also the option to note just the lenght of the active sleep time would be great because sleepless phases during the night are not taken to account at the moment.

For example: 10pm until 5am does not mean 7 hours of sleep when someone woke up in between and was lying awake for 2 hours.

It could be great to have migraine buddy be able to automatically fetch sleep data recorded by an apple watch or other device.

I completely agree. The app as of now tracks how much I sleep and the difference between the nights before an attack and the regular ones. The metrics might suggest that I sleep more on the nights before a migraine, but not necessarily it’s a good sleep. It might also help to study the correlation with the menstrual cycle as for several women the first night is not a nice one and not sleeping well might ultimately influence an attack.

When tracking sleep it’s not very accurate, if I wake up during the night ut just takes maybe 2hrs of sleep for that day and doesn’t continue to pick up the rest of my nights sleep

I found the sleep tracker stats incorrect when transferred from Apple to Migraine Buddy. I use Sleep Cycle Sleep Tracker app which is more accurate. Is it possible to link external apps? https://apps.apple.com/au/app/sleep-cycle-sleep-tracker/id320606217

Yes, I’m not sure if I just don’t know how to use the sleep tracker yet or what, but it says sleep and then awake. So how do we track it if we are wakened in the middle of the night and are up for a bit and then back to sleep and then awakened again? I have little kids so this is most of my nights. It often says I have had a good amount of sleep but that’s not accurate.
