Report and track prodrome and aura separately#69

C

“Did you feel it coming” muddles up prodrome and aura. My aura is a significant and dibilitating part of the migraine attack, nothing at all like a prodrome. When the aura starts I am well beyond “feeling is coming”. As well as severe visual disturbance my arura often includes disphasia, intense pins and needles in one or both hands, confusion and disorientation. I want to be able to track my aura symptoms to report to my neurologist. It is clear that the MigraineBuddy team know that prodrome and aura are different stages, so I don’t understand why the app treats them as one.

This is to serve this need too that we create the “attack type” option.

Attack type before: Prodrome (or aura for some, it can even be aura without migraine)
Attack type during: migraine
Attack type after: Postdrome

For each of those you can track the symptoms in detail.

BUT be careful, you doctor may be unhappy if you come with too much information for him to read through… (that’s why we also offer the possibility to track everything just in the migraine itself).

I hope this helps!

Thank you, Jenny, for you helpful response. I have to admit that I have not tried logging my migraine under the four attack types. Perhaps this is partly being lazy, but also, as you mentioned, a concern about getting too much data not being able to put it together easliy. However, I will give it a try!

Thank you!
I will record it as closed for now. Feel free to tell me if that’s not the case :)
