My constant photo sensitivity reacts more to a dark theme with the bright white text n the dark than to a light theme with my screen light on super low. The emails from your source are extremely uncomfortable as is this site. Consider us all.

I had not considered this myself, so perhaps a choice would be better.

It’s a nightmare. Can’t read blog posts in app. I get visual disturbance from reading dark mode, - wish I could choose “light mode” in this app.
Got blury vision just from reading in here … 😒

The dark mode is hard for me to read and causes eye strain

Hello everyone,
Thanks for this suggestion!
We have introduced a dark theme as this was one of the most requested features. We are considering having different themes in the app, but this will take some time to develop.
Wishing you a migraine-free day 💖
Jenny and the team

I agree. Having white on black is much more difficult for me to read than black print on a white background is. The prior causes me to see “paragraphs” when I look away from the screen & my eyes can’t focus for a few moments. Having black print on a white background, and being able to adjust the brightness of the screen is much more comfortable, and much less straining, on my eyes. The white on black strains my eyes and actually worsens an attack. Everyone is different, and so are our attacks, there should be options to adjust.

Thanks for your feedback @Kelsang Chogma @Polina Gusenkova, we are looking into having different themes for the app but this will take a bit of time as the team is quite small! Thanks for your support

Black and white is difficult for me to read at times too!

Ideally, there would be the ability to choose your background color and text/icon color so people can choose whatever works best for their eyes. I can’t stand anything in light mode, even at the lowest brightness on my phone it’s too bright, so they’re needs to be a choice

Thank you Heather, this is definitely on our long to do list of things to add in the app. We are working on different background Themes all users could choose from depending on their taste and needs.
Your feedback is very much needed to make sure we design the right options for you all.

I like the idea of being able to personalize the theme to meet our individual needs. The dark mode is much better for me, as a bright screen makes my migraine pain worse and can even trigger them at times. But sometimes the colors on the dark background can cause issues as well if they are too bright.
I don’t like the dark mode with the white letters. It makes my migraines worse. It would be better if we had a chose of the light mode instead of just the dark mode.
